Ravens cruise into first place with win over Falcons

The Baltimore Ravens took over sole possession of first place in the AFC North with an easy 29-7 win over fading Atlanta Falcons on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium. Our takeaways:

1. The Ravens held the Falcons to less than four yards per play in a dominant defensive effort against one of the worst road teams in football. Elvis Dumervil and Pernell McPhee each had two sacks.

2. Roddy White was the lone bright spot on offense for the Falcons. The veteran wide receiver finished with nine catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. It was White's first 100-yard game of the season.

3. Justin Forsett is establishing himself as The Man in Baltimore's backfield. Forsett rushed for 95 yards on 23 carries and has 206 rushing yards in the past two weeks.

4. Matt Ryan was running for his life all afternoon, taking five sacks before it was done. Center Peter Konz was carted off the field with a knee injury and was replaced by undrafted free agent James Stone. Konz had taken over at center after Joe Hawley went down with an knee injury. Offensive line coach Mike Tice doesn't have much to work with.

5. Jacoby Jones has had some special moments as a punt returner for the Ravens, but John Harbaugh has to be thinking about a change after another Jones muff on Sunday.
