Missouri DE Shane Ray notches two more sacks vs. Florida

Shane Ray's ascent up NFL draft boards continued Saturday as the Missouri defense end notched his ninth and 10th sacks of the season against Florida in the Tigers' 42-13 win.

At 6-3, 245 pounds, Ray isn't the biggest defensive end, but as the college football season has unfolded in his first year as a full-time starter, Ray is proving to be one of the best.

Along with two sacks of Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel in the third quarter, Ray forced a fumble as well. And as if that weren't enough, he blocked an extra point at the end of the game.

Ray and defensive end Markus Golden have combined as one one of the nation's top pass-rushing duos this season, although Ray has developed into the one offenses fear most. Golden recovered a fumble and returned in 21 yards for a touchdown.

Missouri scored four non-offensive touchdowns in blowing the Gators out with only 119 yards of offense. Marcus Murphy took the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown, and returned a punt 82 yards for a score.

Missouri's defense tallied six sacks and six turnovers on the day against a Florida offense that has shown little improvement over last year's failed campaign.
