Suspended Georgia tailback Todd Gurley did not make the trip with the Bulldogs to Arkansas for Saturday's game with the Razorbacks and will not play Saturday, Georgia senior athletic director for sports communications Claude Felton confirmed to multiple media outlets.

Georgia officials met Thursday with the NCAA to discuss Gurley, but there was no news coming out of the meeting regarding his status. Georgia coach Mark Richt on Thursday morning had indicated that Gurley would not play Saturday. The school suspended Gurley last week as it started an investigation into allegations that Gurley profited from signing memorabilia, but he did practice this week.

This will be Georgia's second game without him. Last week, true freshman Nick Chubb filled in and carried 38 times (fourth-most in school history) for 143 yards and a TD in a rout of Missouri. Chubb should get the start again.

The suspension is expected to have zero impact on Gurley's draft status -- and could be viewed as a positive. One NFC South scout told NFL Media analysts that the suspension should prevent unnecessary mileage on his legs.
