Johnny Manziel shows support for Georgia's Todd Gurley

If Georgia running back Todd Gurley needs a blueprint for how to escape significant penalty for allegedly autographing memorabilia for profit, Johnny Manziel certainly gave it to him last season.

And while the former Texas A&M star might not be in a great position to advise Gurley as a rookie with the Cleveland Browns, that doesn't mean he can't show support for the suspended star.

"(Gurley) built a brand and should be able to capitalize on it," Manziel said Friday, according to cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot.

Manziel, of course, famously received a half-game suspension following allegations that he profited from signing memorabilia between his freshman and sophomore seasons at Texas A&M.

That said, according to a Friday report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, there are differences between the Manziel case and the Gurley case that could spell a longer suspension for the Bulldogs' star rusher.
