Following the Houston Texans' failed comeback attempt Thursday night, J.J. Watt said he needed to "find a way to do more."
One Texan who appeared to have a chance to do more was DeAndre Hopkins. The receiver was the closest Houston player with a chance to recover the game-sealing Ryan Fitzpatrick fumble in the closing minutes.
Hopkins seemed to make a halfhearted effort to corral the loose ball, but the wideout said he just over-thought it.
"I kind of judged it wrong," Hopkins said, per the Houston Chronicle. "I couldn't really see the way it was bouncing. After looking at it, I definitely think I could of dove and got it. Out there on the field, I thought too much."
Andre Johnson took responsibility Thursday for his own fumble that cost the Texans a chance on the previous drive.
Hopkins added Friday morning that he thought Fitzpatrick's fumble was an incomplete pass, saying, "I'll take the blame."
