Calvin Johnson frustrated with playing through injury

Calvin Johnson has essentially been a decoy for two weeks because of his injured ankle. It sounds like he won't be used as one this week, and Johnson won't be disappointed about the development.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Around The NFL on Monday that Megatronwas frustrated with having to go out there less than 100 percent.

"Players always want to play. You know he is a gamer," Rapoport said. "But he wants to make sure he gets this ankle healed for the long haul."

Rapoport would be surprised if Johnson plays for the Lionson Sunday in Minnesota. It's also unclear if Detroit will have Reggie Bush or Joique Bell at running back. In short: Detroit's fast start to the season could turn into a 3-3 record as the team tries to get healthy.
