Jadeveon Clowney targeting Week 7 return for Texans

The Houston Texans will continue to wait on Jadeveon Clowney.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport said on NFL GameDay First that the No. 1 overall pick won't be on the field for Sunday's meeting with the Dallas Cowboys. Sources told Rapoport that the rookie pass rusher's target return date from a torn lateral meniscus in his knee remains Houston's Monday night tilt with the Steelers in Week 7.

Clowney has been limited to just 23 snaps on the year. After seeing J.J. Watt and the rest of the Texans defense pile up 16 quarterback hits against the Bills last week, it's tantalizing to ponder what Houston will accomplish on that side of the ball when Jadeveon returns to the fold.
