Teddy Bridgewater (ankle) questionable vs. Packers

Teddy Bridgewaterexpressed optimism Tuesday that his sprained ankle would be healthy enough to lead the Minnesota Vikings against the Green Bay Packerson Thursday night.

Speaking with SiriuxXM NFL Radio on Wednesday, coach Mike Zimmer sounded a bit more cautious.

"Teddy Bridgewater has been in the playbook hard all week. You have to have a few scenarios ready if he can't go," Zimmer said. "We will see how (he's) doing tomorrow. ... It's a long season so we don't want to put him at risk."

Bridgewater was limited during Wednesday's practice and is officially listed as questionable for Thursday Night Football.

If Zimmer decides the ankle isn't stable enough to risk his impressive rookie, Christian Ponder will draw the start in a key NFC North bout.
