Jamaal Charles active for Chiefs against Patriots

The Chiefs are getting a boost when they need it most with the New England Patriots in town.

Jamaal Charles is active for Kansas City's game Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium. An ankle injury forced the running back to miss last week's 34-15 triumph over the Miami Dolphins, with Knile Davis taking 32 carries for 132 yards and a touchdown in Charles' absence.

Charles has carried the ball just nine times for 23 yards in the 2014 season.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs will be without safety Eric Berry (ankle) and running back DeAnthony Thomas (hamstring), who are both inactive.
