Indianapolis Colts release WR Da'Rick Rogers

The Indianapolis Colts have parted ways with Da'Rick Rogers.

Coach Chuck Pagano announced Monday that the team has released the second-year wide receiver for conduct detrimental to the team.

Pagano told reporters that it would be "inappropriate to speak further" on the matter, per Mike Chappell of RTV6.

Rogers was arrested early Monday morning for operating a vehicle while intoxicated on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Rogers' BAC was between 0.08 and 0.14, according to police.

While Rogers showed some on-field promise last season with 14 catches for 192 yards, the Colts are through with the talented-but-troubled pass-catcher. To fill his place, Indianapolis has signed safety Dewey McDonald to the 53-man active roster.
