Goodell, Vincent meet with ex-players to discuss conduct policy

The process to change the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy is underway.

Per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, Commissioner Roger Goodell and executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent led a three-and-a-half hour meeting at the NFL offices in New York on Tuesday with a group of 11 former NFL players to discuss how to improve the policy.

There will be additional such meetings that will include a wide range of internal and external perspectives as part of Commissioner Goodell's commitment to revamp the league's Personal Conduct Policy.

The former NFL players who attended the meeting were Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, Matt Birk, Patrick Kerney, Marty Lyons, Willie McGinest, Eddie Mason, Roman Oben, Tony Paige, Robert Porcher, Scott Turner and Charles Way.

During a news conference on Friday, Goodell promised that there would be changes to the Personal Conduct Policy and that "nothing is off the table," with a goal to complete it by the Super Bowl.
