Jamaal Charles practices, to split work with Davis?

Either Jamaal Charles' high ankle sprain was not that severe or he has some of the best recovery skills in the NFL. Or both.

Charles was back at practice Friday for the Kansas City Chiefs, making it look more likely that he will suit up Sunday in the team's huge game in Miami. Charles suffered the injury during last week's loss in Denver.

High ankle sprains are usually multiple week injuries, but Charles has looked good at practice this week according to multiple reporters on the scene. (Here's video proof!)

"We'll evaluate how he feels, let the docs and trainers make a decision ... we appreciate his effort," Reid said. "He came in and pushed through this thing, and we'll make a decision after that."

Charles is officially questionable for the game, but it looks like Knile Davis and Charles could split work. Davis took the first two snaps with the first team at practice Friday, and Charles took that next two, according to The Kansas City Star. That's bad news for fantasy owners wanting clarity, but great news for a Chiefs team that desperately needs a win to avoid an 0-3 start.

Safety Eric Berry was ruled out for the game after not practicing all week because of his ankle injury.
