Darren Sproles, Gates lead Week 2 Players of Week

Darren Sproles' shoulders might not be considered broad, but the Philadelphia Eagles rode them to a 2-0 start. His performance earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award in Week 2.

The running back was one part five-pin bowling ball, another part slippery eel as he galloped through, over and around the Indianapolis Colts for a career-high 152 yards on seven catches and a 19-yard rushing touchdown in the Eagles' 30-27 come-from-behind win.

In what can be described as the "we still got it" week, Sproles' fellow veteran and former San Diego Chargers teammate Antonio Gates swiped the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award.

The 34-year-old tight end snagged seven catches for 96 yards (13.7 average) and three touchdowns in the Chargers' convincing 30-21 win against Seattle.

Here are the rest of the Week 2 award winners:

AFC

New England DE Chandler Jones: Eight tackles, two sacks and a blocked field goal that he returned for a touchdown in the Patriots' 30-7 win at Minnesota.

Buffalo Bills RB/KR C.J. Spiller: 102-yard kickoff-return touchdown in the Bills' 29-10 win against Miami.

NFC

Chicago Bears CB Kyle Fuller: Two interceptions to set up touchdowns and six tackles in the Bears' comeback upset road win over the 49ers.

Arizona Cardinals KR Ted Ginn, Jr: Go-ahead 71-yard punt-return touchdown in the Cardinals' 25-14 come-from-behind win at the New York Giants.
