Shaun Hill still the starter, Rams' Jeff Fisher says

On the Week 2 recap edition of the Around The NFL Podcast, we wondered if Austin Davis might give the St. Louis Rams their best chance to win going forward.

Davis' solid afternoon was highlighted by an outstanding throw to Austin Pettis, setting up the game-winning field goal against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Sunday's 19-17 win.

Although a thigh injury prevented Shaun Hill from starting, coach Jeff Fisher kept the veteran active in case the Rams needed him to finish out the game from a shotgun formation.

Was the upset victory enough to tempt Fisher into sticking with Davis and trying to create a sense of momentum?

"No," Fisher said, via the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "When Shaun comes back, he's our starter. I'm really proud of Austin, but Shaun's our starter when he can play."

Fishers has held firm to that stance ever since Sam Bradfordwent down with an ACL injury in late August.

It's going to take more than one game to change that plan. In the NFL, though, it never takes much more.

The latest "Around The NFL Podcast" recaps every Sunday game from an upset-heavy Week 2 in the NFL, and considers what RGIII's injury could mean for the Redskins.
