The Iowa-Iowa State series doesn't have much national significance because, hey, it involves teams from Iowa. Still, it's a nasty rivalry, as most in-state showdowns are.

The teams meet Saturday at Iowa; the Hawkeyes are 2-0 and the Cyclones 0-2.

Tuesday, the respective university police departments were involved in a Twitter "battle" of sorts -- and it was a clear win for Iowa.

The Hawkeyes have won four of the past six meetings and lead the series 40-21. But Iowa State won in 2012 in its most recent trip to Iowa City. The teams first played in 1894 and have played annually since 1977.
