Jim Kelly is cancer-free.

The evolution of the NFL:
Take a look at how the NFL has evolved from its humble roots, and the efforts being made to ensure it continues to grow.

A group representing the Hall of Fame quarterback released a statement announcing that Kelly underwent a series of biopsies in New York on Thursday that showed no signs of cancer in his body.

"This is some of the greatest news I've ever gotten," Kelly said in the press release. "It's been a long road, and I'm still not back to 100 percent, but I have a lot to be thankful for."

Kelly has been battling squamous cell carcinoma since 2013. He had a portion of his jaw removed that year before the cancer reappeared in 2014. Kelly aggressively battled the cancer with chemotherapy and radiation treatments in New York City and Buffalo.

We send our best wishes to Kelly and his entire family. Let's make this the last cancer-related post about the Bills great.

UPDATE: Here's an Instagram video of Kelly telling his daughter, Erin, that he is cancer-free.
