Injury roundup: Raiders' Sio Moore suffers neck strain

Oakland Raiders linebacker Sio Moore left Friday's game in Green Bay on a stretcher after taking a hit to the neck and back.

Moore, a second-year player, was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Coach Dennis Allen said after the game that Moore's X-rays came back negative; the linebacker suffered a neck strain and flew home with the team. Linebacker Nick Roach and cornerback Tarell Brown sat out the rest of the game with head injuries, and Kory Sheets spent the rest of the night on the sideline due to an Achilles injury. Sheets later tweeted that he's out for the season. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, citing a source close to Sheets, reported that it's a torn Achilles.

Here's who else was among the injured Friday night:

1. Green Bay Packers nose tackle B.J. Raji injured his arm and was quickly ruled out for the rest of the night. Rapoport reported on Saturday that Raji tore his right biceps and will miss the season:

2. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported that Cam Newton has a contusion in the middle of his back. The Panthers quarterback went in for X-rays during the second half of Friday's preseason game and the results came back negative.

3. Bears safety Chris Conte left the game against the Seahawks with a head injury, and was being evaluated for a concussion, according to the team's official website.

3. Giants guard Geoff Schwartz was carted off the field Friday with a dislocated toe injury. Schwartz was one of New York's offseason investments on the offensive line, a former starter with the Kansas City Chiefs. Rapoport reports that Schwartz will undergo an MRI on Saturday to find out the severity of the injury. The guard will see a foot specialist following his MRI. A source close to Schwartz says the fear is he'll miss significant time, though no prognosis or time frame has been offered at this time.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee exited the game against the Lions with a quad injury and didn't return.

5. New York Jets safety Antonio Allen left the game against the Giants due a to head injury. Following the contest, coach Rex Ryan said that Allen suffered a concussion.
