Hefty QB Jared Lorenzen stands out at Kentucky

Popular former Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen, who drew attention when he resurfaced in February as a 320-pound, semi-pro quarterback, has apparently recovered well enough from a knee injury to spend some hang-out time at the UK football facility. The quarterback who was known as the Hefty Lefty when he starred at UK -- among other catchy monikers -- is still as big as ever, however.

Former Kentucky quarterback and No. 1 overall draft pick Tim Couch tweeted this photo of himself, Lorenzen, former UK quarterback Shane Boyd, and a current one Patrick Towles.

No left-to-right identification needed; for the Hefty Lefty, anyway.

Lorenzen also posed with Kentucky's newest, biggest player, incoming freshman defensive lineman Matt Elam. Keep in mind, the Kentucky roster lists Elam at 6-foot-7 and 375 pounds:

Now, before anyone goes guessing on Lorenzen's weight based on a comparison with Elam, keep in mind that photos don't always tell the story fully. Lorenzen, for his part, embraces his size. He showed comfort in his skin, certainly, when the NCAA announced it would allow teams to provide players with unlimited snacks.

The Pillsbury Throwboy also has a charitable heart. Yes, if you want to see Lorenzen in a soaking wet T-shirt, he threw in an ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video while at UK, as well.
