The Seattle Seahawks have added a new body along the offensive line.

Smith started 64 straight games for Houston but struggled both as a pass-blocker and road-grader in 2013, ranking 58th out of 81 eligible guards, per Pro Football Focus. He also brings experience playing center and tackle.
The signing brings Seattle's roster to the 90-man limit, adding a player with experience in Tom Cable's zone-blocking scheme. With James Carpenter and J.R. Sweezy penciled in as Seattle's starting guards, the 33-year-old Smith is no lock to make this roster.
