A favorite of the Giants coaching staff, Donnell went undrafted out of Grambling State in 2012 after beginning his college career as a quarterback. He spent his rookie year on the practice squad and played all 16 games last season as a special teamer.
Donnell caught just three passes in 2013 after managing just 38 receptions in four years at Grambling. In other words, he's a blocking specialist valued for his work ethic and 6-foot-6, 265-pound frame.
