Since returning from their forced hiatus in 1999, the Browns have flown under the radar while perfecting the art of the double-digit loss season.

It's too soon to know if those grim days are over, but the Browns have -- at the very least -- made the leap into the collective consciousness. The Dallas Morning News, after researching Twitter analytics site Topsy.com, learned that the Browns were the NFL's most tweeted about team from May 13 to June 12.

Obviously, the offseason signing of Ben Tate is the primary reason for this popularity surge. Well, that or the arrival of Johnny Manziel. Yeah, it's probably the second one come to think of it.

The numbers seem a little fuzzy, but let's just roll with it: There were 49,645 Browns tweets during the month-long tracking period, with the Dallas Cowboys finishing second with 45,496. (Just imagine if Jerrah took Johnny Football like he was supposed to.)

Only nine teams reached 20,000 tweets. The team with the fewest number of tweets? That would be the aggressively nondescript Tennessee Titans. Andy Levitre ain't moving the needle like he used to.
