Jameis Winston on wrong end of the T-shirt joke

Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston may have put behind him his embarrassing citation for stealing crab legs, but fans of the rival Florida Gators won't let him forget any time soon.

And they've got just the T-shirt for him to remember it by.

The Heisman Trophy winner's misdeed is generating cash for the Gator Mania apparel store in a Gainesville, Fla., mall, in the form of gag T-shirts for "Jameis' Famous Crab Shack Emporium." The T-shirt, of course in the Gator colors of orange and blue, are being sold for $18.99. A slogan reading "Eat 'Em Like You Stole 'Em" is on the front of the shirt, and the back reads "Our crabs are always at a five-finger discount."

According to alligator.org, the store had the shirts as quickly as two days following Winston's embarrassing incident. The star quarterback avoided arrest for stealing $32.72 worth of seafood when the grocery store agreed to a pre-arrest diversion called an "adult civil citation." The citation resulted in Winston's brief suspension from the FSU baseball team, and required him to perform 20 hours of community service.

"The shirt does bring in people because they see it and they're 'Oh, that's so funny," said Gator Mania sales associate Taylor Macdonald. "I mean, I think it's hilarious. I actually have the shirt."

Hey, anything to take minds off of Florida's 4-8 record last year. Not to mention, FSU's national championship.
