Agent: Jermichael Finley to visit mystery team Friday

As Jermichael Finley creeps closer to a potential on-field return, the former Green Bay Packers tight end continues to draw interest from potential suitors.

Finley's agent, Blake Baratz, told "PFT Live" on Thursday that the rehabbing pass-catcher is set to visit with a mystery team on Friday.

After Finley met with the Seahawks in March, our money is on the Patriots. With Rob Gronkowski still on the mend from major knee surgery, New England is thin at the position with the underwhelming duo of Michael Hoomanawanui and D.J. Williams leading the charge.

Baratz also noted that Finley's surgically repaired neck has received clearance from Dr. Joseph Maroon, the neurosurgeon who fused the tight end's C3-C4 vertebrates after Finley suffered a spinal contusion in October.

That's a hopeful stepping stone for the player, but Finley has yet to be cleared by an NFL team and likely won't be signed until that happens. If healthy, the athletic seven-year target would make for a tantalizing addition in Seattle or New England, although a reunion with the Packers still makes the most sense.

The latest "Around The League Podcast" breaks down the news and discusses players who could be summertime trade targets.
