Brother of Atlanta Falcons' Roddy White shot to death

Tyrone Moore Jr., the half-brother of Atlanta Falcons star wide receiver Roddy White, was shot to death outside a James Island, S.C., nightclub early Saturday, according to the (Charleston, S.C.) Post and Courier.

Authorities were dispatched to the Lake House Club for a report of a shooting. Witnesses reportedly told deputies that several shots had been fired and Moore was wounded. The 21-year-old was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, said Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.

Detectives are still searching for suspects and a motive, according to the website.

Both White and Moore were raised by their mother on James Island outside Charleston. White, 32, attended James Island Charter High School and was drafted in the first round by the Falcons in 2005. He is a four-time Pro Bowler, with 55 career receiving touchdowns.

Falcons team owner Arthur Blank released a statement expressing sympathy.

"We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy's brother Tyrone. Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances," said the release. "On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family."
