Atlanta Falcons exploring all trades in 2014 NFL Draft

The 2014 NFL Draft sits 10 days away, which gives us ample time to spin another yarn about the prospects of the Atlanta Falcons trading their No. 6 overall selection.

The more time that passes, the less likely it seems the Falcons actually will pick at the No. 6 slot, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, according to sources familiar with the Falcons' thinking.

The Falcons bringing in Jadeveon Clowney signified the obvious: They are considering the possibility of moving all the way up to the No. 1 overall pick, held by the Houston Texans.

Talks have not started between Atlanta and Houston, according to Rapoport. The possibility remains that Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff could move up anywhere into the top-four spots. The team is serious about studying where it could move.

Given a top 10 stacked with versatile and intriguing players, the Falcons also could consider dropping back to earn more picks in a deep draft, per Rapoport.

So we are clear: The Falcons could move to No. 1 overall and take Clowney. They could move up to the No. 2, 3 or 4 spots. Atlanta could also move back in the top 10.

Sweet mother of mercy, only 10 more days of "could" season.
