Four 2014 NFL Draft question marks

With the draft less than two weeks away, we are almost done asking questions. Just not yet.

We spent a packed "Around The League Podcast" on Friday talking draft buzz with NFL Films maven Greg Cosell, and also went to school watching Bucky Brooks and Daniel Jeremiah on NFL Network's "Mock Draft Weekly."

The two draft experts chose their four biggest question marks heading into the draft. Let's take a look.

1. Aaron Murray, Georgia quarterback: If not for a torn ACL suffered in November, Murray had the anticipation and calm in the pocket to be considered a second-round pick. He should fall further now because of the injury, but Brooks believes that a team like Tampa Bay or Jacksonville could grab Murray in the middle rounds.

2. Dee Ford, Auburn defensive end: The question about Ford is a simple one: can he play on running downs? With passing-down specialists becoming more prevalent than ever, how early can you take a guy who won't be on the field on first downs early in his career?

Bruce Irvin is a recent example of a pass-rusher taken higher than expected. Ford could still go in the top 20.

3. Colt Lyerla, Oregon tight end: If not for Lyerla's arrest for cocaine possession, Brooks believes Lyerla might be the No. 2-rated tight end in this crop. His substance-abuse problems are a serious concern, but NFL teams have been adjusting draft values for off-field risks with prospects for decades. Some team will take the plunge with Lyerla; the question is when?

4. Cyrus Kouandjio, Alabama offensive tackle: Kouandijo faces multiple questions. His performance was wildly up and down, and his skills are relatively unpolished for a potential first-round pick. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport also reported that teams failed Kouandjio on his physical at the NFL Scouting Combine because of arthritic knees.
