In the wake of a report that the Philadelphia Eagles threw out a trade offer for Dion Jordan, Miami Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey is downplaying the notion that the young pass rusher is on the market.
"He's a very talented player and this is a big offseason for him," Hickey continued. "Last year with his shoulder he didn't have an opportunity to have a full offseason. That's so important."
For all of that praise, Hickey did not confirm or deny trade talks involving the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
It's natural to believe Hickey might not be as high on Jordan as outgoing general manager Jeff Ireland, who traded up to land the Oregon star.
