2014 NFL Draft: What we learned from Tuesday's pro days

» Gil Brandt's 2014 pro day reports

It was another day light on pro day workouts across the country, but there were still plenty of players in action whom scouts wanted to see. Here's a recap of what happened with first-round prospects on down.

North Carolina: Ebron headlines solid group

Big draw: TE Eric Ebron
Don't forget: C Russell Bodine
Notable attendees: A huge crowd of NFL personnel, including scouts from TE-needy clubs like the Giants, Jets and Bills

The skinny: Ebron was the center of attention in Chapel Hill as a ton of folks turned out to see how the potential first-rounder looked. While it wasn't a great pro day, it wasn't a bad one either; he flashed his athletic ability while dealing with a few drops. Ebron said after that he felt things went great and that the drops were no big deal. Linebacker Kareem Martin built off his solid showing at the NFL Scouting Combine by going through drills at both linebacker and defensive end to show off his versatility. Quarterback Bryn Renner threw the ball well and earned some looks from scouts on hand.

Massachussetts: Blanchflower fails to work out

Big draw: TE Rob Blanchflower
Notable attendees: 27 teams sent a representative to take in the workout
The skinny: The biggest news of the day was that Blanchflower, a possible late-round pick at tight end, didn't workout. He battled injuries throughout his senior year and didn't do any drills or tests at the combine. As a result, the jury still seems to be out on where he'll go in the draft with teams yet to see him on the field fully healthy.

Iowa State: George looks good during drills

Big draw: LB Jeremiah George
Don't forget: P Kirby Van Der Kamp
Notable attendees: Scouts from nearly 30 teams were on hand
The skinny: George bested almost all of his numbers from the combine during testing but saved his best for the on-field work. Size remains a concern, but the All-Big 12 linebacker definitely helped his stock. Van Der Kamp kicked outside despite the terrible conditions and had a good showing by most accounts.

Texas-San Antonio: Two earn super regional combine invite

Big draw: LB Steven Kurfehs
Don't forget: TE Jeremiah Moeller
The skinny: The Roadrunners have only been a football program for a couple of years now, but that doesn't mean they don't have a pro day. The biggest news happened before Tuesday's workout as Kurfehs and Moeller found out they snagged an invite to the NFL super regional combine in Detroit and another shot at impressing scouts.

Coming up Tuesday: Texas, Duke, Indiana, Syracuse, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe
