DeSean Jackson reportedly tells mates he's staying

DeSean Jackson has taken matters into his own hands.

Jackson posted a photo to his Twitter and Instagram accounts Monday night of a jolly Chip Kelly. The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver wrote he spoke with "Big Chip" after rumors of his imminent exit have been reported.

"He's still under contract for us," Eagles general manager Howie Roseman told reporters earlier Monday at the NFL Annual Meeting. "And until there's anything to report on our players, that's where we are now."

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are listening to trade offers for their top wideout, and the Jets, Raiders, 49ers and Panthers have been linked to Jackson. Philadelphia also reportedly is willing to give the six-year pro his walking papers if the team cannot find a trade partner.

The picture speaks for itself, but we shouldn't read too much into the tweet other than Kelly seems to be euphoric when he's on the football field, while Jackson's roller coaster of an offseason continues its rocky ride.

UPDATE: After speaking with Kelly, Jackson called several teammates to tell them he is staying with the Eagles, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. Kelly reportedly told Jackson to work hard and be ready for training camp.

The latest reports are indicative of either a change of heart from the Eagles' brass or an attempt to regain leverage in trade talks.
