NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday that Porter has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins, according to a source. The deal is pending a physical.

Porter spent last season with the Oakland Raiders, where he started all 16 games. Porter likely will play in the slot for the Redskins, replacing free agent Josh Wilson in the nickel.

Porter met with the Giants before signing with the Redskins. He represents an upgrade for a secondary that needed it.
