Mike Neal tweets he's staying with Green Bay Packers

Mike Neal was a durable and productive presence for the Green Bay Packers' defense last season. It appears he's been rewarded for those qualities.

A former second-round pick who will turn 27 in June, Neal moved to outside linebacker last season after three years at defensive end. He thrived in his new role, finishing with five sacks and a team-leading 37 quarterback hurries. He had four sacks in Green Bay's final seven games.

The Packers have made it an offseason priority to build their pass rush. Neal's youth and versatility as an inside and outside rusher make him a fit for defensive coordinator Dom Capers' scheme and a player well worth keeping around.
