Unlike the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' situation with Darrelle Revis, the Saints aren't operating with a ticking clock. Sproles has no bonus money coming, which means the Saints can take their time in finding the right deal.

Rapoport reported that the Saints still plan to cut Sproles if they cannot make a deal. That now appears unlikely.
