Report: Zane Beadles, Jaguars reach five-year contract

The Jags agreed to terms with former Denver Broncos guard Zane Beadles on a five-year, $30 million contract with $13 million in guarantees, ESPN's Adam Caplan reported Tuesday.

The Jaguars' official website confirmed Beadles is "expected" to be signed.

A second-round draft pick in 2010, Beadles has started 62 of 64 games in four seasons. Although he earned a Pro Bowl nod for his 2012 performance, we thought he was pushed around too much during the Broncos' Super Bowl run last season.

Even if he plays closer to his 2013 level, this move will solidify the interior of Jacksonville's offensive line. Beadles is just entering his prime, is a heady player and moves well in the running game.

After adding Beadles, general manager David Caldwell can turn his attention to former Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond and former Lions defensive Willie Young. Both players are visiting the Jaguars on Tuesday.
