NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported the contract is for two years, according to a source informed of the team's plans.

The 41-year-old kicker has spent the past eight seasons and won a Super Bowl with the Colts after spending 10 years and winning three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.

A career 83 percent field-goal kicker, Vinatieri has a very a strong case to make the Hall of Fame -- he'd get our vote.

However, he's not riding into the sunset just yet. The stalwart went 35 of 40 on field-goal attempts in 2013, including 15 of 17 from 40-49 yards and 4 of 6 attempts over 50 yards.
