Ed Reed has $50,000 cash stolen from car in Houston

Ed Reed had a bag-o-money stolen from the front seat of his car in Houston on Wednesday.

According to a police report obtained by NFL Media, the free agent safety had $50,000 taken from his 2006 Audi after someone broke his passenger-side window to take the bag of cash. Local 2 in Houston first reported the incident.

A Houston Police Department spokeswoman told NFL Media that Reed withdrew the money from one bank and then stopped at another bank, but, for some reason, left the bag in the front seat.

After spending 11 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, the 35-year-old All-Pro signed with the Houston Texans last offseason. However, he appeared in just seven games in Houston before being released. He finished the season with the New York Jets.

Reed has said he would like to continue playing for coach Rex Ryan and re-sign with the Jets.

On the latest edition of the "Around The League Podcast," the guys huddle with Seahawks trio Michael Robinson, Brandon Mebane and Red Bryant before unpacking Cleveland's week of chaos.
