Gus Bradley, Mike Smith scout top prospects at Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. -- A few quotables from Senior Bowl coaches Gus Bradley and Mike Smith on Reese's Senior Bowl prospects this week:

Bradley on Virginia offensive tackle Morgan Moses: "He's done a good job. I have not watched as much as I should of those guys; I've watched them on tape afterward. But I know in talking with our guys -- we meet with personnel every day -- he's done a good job with things. I know they're looking at flexibility. Does he have the flexibility to play multiple positions and stuff like that? That's always a challenge with these guys, but what I'm hearing is that he's been solid."

Bradley on Mississippi State guard Gabe Jackson: "I know that he's got some good strength, some good hips. They (Jaguars personnel staff) talked about that. I'm looking forward to watching one-on-ones to see how he handles. At that spot you need to have a guy who is strong and powerful, and he seems to have some of those traits, but to give a complete evaluation would be unfair right now."

Smith on Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald: "Donald is a very quick, athletic defensive tackle. He plays with great leverage and great hands. It's a low-man-wins mentality when you're playing offensive and defensive line. He does a great job playing with his hands inside the frame of the body."

Bradley on Auburn defensive end Dee Ford: "Dee is exciting. I really like his personality. I like his spirit. He loves the game. He showcases that on the practice field. Any time a guy can come off the edge and show his ability to rush, it really stands out. For us in our scheme, the Leo spot, that's what we have it designed for -- guys like that."

Bradley on FSU linebacker Telvin Smith: "He's very spirited, and you'd hope somebody with that (smallish) size has very good quickness and speed, and he does. I was really impressed out here. He had an opportunity on a bootleg to whip his head around and find the crosser, and he did just that. He's not going to be a 3-4 inside linebacker. Those guys are generally 250, 255. But there are going to be so many teams that love his speed, his spirit for the game, and his diagnosis of the play. It appears to be good, and his instincts showed up at practice."

Smith on UCLA linebacker Jordan Zumwalt: "He plays with a lot of passion and a lot of emotion. I thought in the practice (Tuesday) he had two big hits. He's an athletic guy who I think has done some nice things, both covering and rushing the passer."

Bradley on Texas receiver Mike Davis: "You know who has really taken a liking to him is Jerry Sullivan, our wide receivers coach. I know Jerry has worked with him, and not only talked to him about technique on the field, but his approach and how he's perceived. Had some deep discussions with him that Jerry and I have talked about. He's gravitated toward that. He really responded well. Jerry's got great credibility."

Smith on Saginaw Valley State receiver Jeff Janis: "Jeff has got the size you are looking for in a wide receiver. Every year there are guys that come from Division II and Division III schools who get an opportunity to get in front of NFL coaches and make teams. He's done a nice job. I know he's caught the attention of our coaching staff."
