Michael Crabtree watched as Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman swatted away a potential game-winning touchdown pass. The tipped ball resulted in an interception and a San Francisco 49ers loss in the NFC Championship Game.
Sherman taunted the 49ers wide receiver out on the field and then called Crabtree a "sorry" and "mediocre" receiver after the clash.
Crabtree didn't take the insults lying down.
Crabtree caught four passes for 52 yards with a long of 13 yards in Sunday's loss. Colin Kaepernick targeted him eight times.
"You make one play and you talk? Good play," Crabtree said of Sherman after the game, per the San Francisco Chronicle.
Sherman said in his postgame press conference that Crabtree made a personal remark during the offseason that upset him.Â

Crabtree was also asked this week if the Seahawks' corner was the best cover man in the NFL.
"Uh, no, I don't think so," Crabtree said Thursday, via CSN Bay Area. "I don't know (anything) about the best cornerbacks in the league. I just know teams. We are playing the Seattle Seahawks and hopefully we come out with a win. ... So you got to study the whole defense. It is not just one guy. It is the entire defense."
After the game, the victorious Sherman had the television platform to speak his mind.
"He's a TV guy," Crabtree told beat writers, referring to Sherman. "I'm not a TV guy. I play ball."
