RapSheet Rundown: Dolphins' GM search heats up

The Miami Dolphins' general manager search is escalating throughout the Divisional Round Weekend.

The Dolphins will interview Browns assistant GM Ray Farmer and Titans VP of Player Personnel Lake Dawson for their opening this weekend, sources tell NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. The Dolphins announced that Farmer completed his interview Saturday. Dawson's interview is scheduled for Sunday.

The Dolphins announced they interviewed their assistant GM, Brian Gaine, for promotion.

Rapoport reported that Steelers director of football administration Omar Khan interviewed Friday.

Other executives the Dolphins are looking at include Jason Licht (Cardinals) and Tom Gamble (Eagles).

Here are some other notes from the tireless Rapoport:

»The Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan to interview Dawson for their GM post Saturday. The team will also speak to Falcons exec Lionel Vital Saturday.

»Minnesota Vikings contingent planned to head to Charlotte on Saturday to interview 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman before Sunday's playoff game. Roman likely is the final interview in first round of the Vikings' search, according to a person informed of the team's search.

»Romeo Crennel spoke with Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien this week about the team's defensive coordinator job. Rapoport reports that in a week, Crennel coaches East-West Shrine game. A source close to Crennel says he's "looking at possibilities. We'll see after the game."
