The starting right tackle won't practice Wednesday after suffering a groin injury on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com. His status for Saturday's playoff matchup against the Indianapolis Colts is in doubt.

The Chiefs have cover if Fisher can't go. Pro Bowl left tackle Branden Albert is expected to return to the lineup after missing four weeks with a hyperextended knee. Donald Stephenson served as Albert's replacement and would kick over to the right side in Fisher's absence.

Fisher, the first overall draft pick in 2013, has struggled in his transition to the next level. He's ranked 70th out of 76 qualifying offensive tackles by Pro Football Focus, which grades players on every snap.
