ATLANTA -- Texas A&M wide receiver Mike Evans said his decision on whether to turn pro early has been made but wasn't quite ready to talk about it after Tuesday's thrilling 52-48 win over Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl.
Instead, Evans told College Football 24/7, he plans to announce at some point within the next few days, perhaps via his Twitter feed, @MikeEvans13.
"I'm going to enjoy this one," said Evans, who left the Georgia Dome with a slight limp. "But I'm going to announce soon, probably (Tuesday night) or (Wednesday) ... when I get back, or on Twitter."
NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt reported Monday that both Evans and star quarterback Johnny Manziel would end their college careers after the Chick-fil-A Bowl and move onto the pro ranks. Manziel wasn't quite ready to discuss his decision Tuesday night either, however, and was far more coy than Evans about when he would announce his intentions.
"First and foremost I want to get back with these guys and enjoy this celebration," he said. "Get back to College Station, spend time with (teammates), then I want to spend time with my family. Then I've got a decision to make. I haven't made it yet. I'm living in the moment right now. We'll see when we get to that point. I have until (January) 15th, so we'll see."
Texas A&M right tackle Cedric Ogbuehi, who also is considering early NFL draft entry, left the Georgia Dome without commenting on his future.
