Mike Munchak's fate with Titans remains uncertain

Mike Munchak wasn't on the list of coaches shown the door on Monday. He's not out of the woods yet.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday on NFL Network's "Around The League Live" that the Tennessee Titans are meeting with Munchak on Monday and Tuesday to discuss where the franchise is headed following a 7-9 season.

Rapoport said the belief is that Munchak's job status remains "very much in the air."

Munchak is extremely well-liked inside the building and the decision-makers want to see him succeed. It hasn't happened in three seasons as coach, however. Munchak is just 22-26 with zero playoff appearances since 2011.

Offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains is another potential hurdle. Some members of the front office believed the Titans threw the ball far too much this season instead of sticking with a more run-oriented approach with Chris Johnson, Shonn Greene and a rebuilt offensive line.

Munchak publicly endorsed Loggains on Monday. The relationship could lead to some friction during an uncertain time.

We break down all the Week 17 action and look ahead to the playoffs in the latest "Around The League Podcast."
