The Browns have already lined up an interview with Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. Per Rapoport, they are also pushing to meet with New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

The Browns aren't the only franchise interested in Bowles.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reports the Minnesota Vikings have also requested permission to interview Bowles.

Tasked with replacing a fine strategist in Ray Horton, Bowles has rehabilitated his value after his 2012 Philadelphia Eagles defense turned in a disastrous performance in coverage. Deploying multiple formations up front, Bowles landed on the radar of other NFL teams by blitzing creatively and with abandon in Arizona.

Interviewing Bowles will satisfy the Rooney Rule requirement for all three organizations.

UPDATE:NFL Media columnist Michael Silver reports that Bowles, like Gase, might turn down the Browns' interview request.
