Percy Harvin will practice, might play for Seahawks

At this time Sunday, all signs pointed toward Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Percy Harvinlanding on season-ending injured reserve with ongoing hip woes.

Not so fast.

Coach Pete Carroll revealed Monday that Harvin will return to practice this week, with the goal of playing in the Seahawks' next game.

"He would do anything to play," Carroll said, via Liz Mathews of KIRO-AM Seattle. "He's at a place where he has a chance."

Carroll added that Harvin deserves credit for not giving up on the idea of contributing during the playoffs despite multiple setbacks with his surgically repaired hip.

If Harvin does return, it will be against the 49ers, Packers or Saints in Seattle's playoff opener. Parsing Carroll's words, it sounds like Seahawks fans shouldn't get their hopes up just yet.
