Jeff Ireland given no assurances for Miami Dolphins return in '14

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has been given no assurances that his job is safe for the 2014 NFL season, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, per a team source.

Ireland expects to meet with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross at the end of the season, and the general manager's fate will be decided at that time.

Ireland is in the final year of his contract with the Dolphins after signing a contract extension in the offseason.
