The playmaking tight end was carted off the field in Foxborough on Sunday after suffering a right leg injury on a third-quarter, 21-yard grab against the Cleveland Browns. He did not return to the game and NFL Media's Albert Breer reported, via a source who's spoken to the tight end, that Gronk is believed to have suffered a torn ACL.
Gronkowski will have an MRI done Monday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a person informed of Gronk's plans.
Rob Gronkowski couldn't put any pressure on right leg as he was lifted to place him on the cart. Players from both teams come over to him.â Mike Reiss (@MikeReiss) December 8, 2013
