Michigan State's secondary is one of the best in the nation. The Spartans lead the Big Ten and are ninth nationally in pass defense, and Darqueze Dennard might be the best senior cornerback in the nation.
The secondary (as many do these days) calls itself a "No Fly Zone," and Dennard and his secondary mates have 16 interceptions and have allowed just 11 touchdown passes.
Ohio State senior wide receiver Corey "Philly" Brown isn't impressed, though, and he took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his disdain.
He followed that up with this:
Brown (6-foot, 190 pounds) is Ohio State's leading receiver (50 catches) and also leads the Buckeyes in TD receptions (nine), and his matchup with the physical Dennard (5-11, 197) on Saturday should be must-watch football.
No receiver has had a 100-yard game against Michigan State this season; just one, Western Michigan's Corey Davis, had more than 90 yards in receptions. But one potentially troublesome aspect for the Spartans might be that Nebraska had two 80-yard receivers when it played Michigan State: Kenny Bell and Sam Burtch. Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. has good mobility and occasionally hurt the Spartans with his arm. Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller is extremely mobile, and Michigan State's safeties will have to respect his ability to tuck and run.
