Vernon Davis proposes rule change after painful tackle

In the video above you'll see Vernon Davis get dragged down to the ground Sunday by St. Louis Rams safety T.J. McDonald.

If you look closely, or care to watch the high-definition slow-motion replay kindly provided by the Fox network, you can see exactly what the San Francisco 49ers tight end got dragged down by.

Davis survived the tackle, and now wants to use his uncomfortable experience to help change the NFL for the better.

"It should be a league rule saying that a defender can not tackle a player by his penis," Davis wrote in a since deleted tweet. "The most painful thing ever!"

We're all in, if for no other reason than the hope that one day Dean Blandino, the NFL's vice president of officiating, might have to explain this on live NFL Network programming.
