Terrelle Pryor (knee) sits out Oakland Raiders' practice

The health of Terrelle Pryor remains a question mark as the Oakland Raiders begin preparation for their Week 11 matchup against the Houston Texans.

The third-year quarterback -- dealing with the effects of a sprained MCL in his right knee -- sat out practice Wednesday. CSN Bay Area reported that Pryor was not wearing a helmet and did not take part in drills.

Pryor played through the issue in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants but said he was "very sore" after the game. He suffered the injury in Week 9 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Pryor said Wednesday that playing at far less than 100 percent against the Giants "fired back against me." He called it a lesson he can learn from.

"When you're out there and you're letting your ego in the way and your competitive nature in the way, you tend to lose track of what the big picture is, and that's the team," he said, via the team's official website.

It certainly sounds like Pryor would be open to sitting if the knee doesn't improve this week. If he can't go, the Raiders would turn to Matt McGloin against the league's No. 1 pass defense.
