Danny Amendola will play for Patriots; Aqib Talib unlikely

Danny Amendola and Aqib Talib both missed the Patriots' loss against the New York Jets in Week 7.

But New England will at least have their top wide receiver back for Sunday's tilt versus the Miami Dolphins.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Saturday, per a source, that Amendola has been cleared and will play for the Pats in Week 8.

Amendola suffered a concussion in the win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 6 and is listed as questionable. Amendola said Friday that he was "ready to go" after he passed concussion protocols.

Talib, however, is unlikely to play Sunday, Breer reported, per a source who's spoken with the player.

The Patriots' No. 1 cornerback strained his hip flexor against the Saints. He also is listed as questionable on the injury report.
