USC WR Marqise Lee will not play Saturday against Utah

Will the last available USC scholarship skill-position player please turn out the lights?

The Trojans are staring down the possibility of playing against Utah on Saturday without a single scholarship pass catcher. Star wide receiver Marqise Lee is out, as ESPN first reported, after aggravating a knee injury and missing the second half of the 14-10 loss at Notre Dame.

Sophomore Nelson Agholor is dealing with injured ribs and is questionable to play, while Darreus Rogers and De'Von Flournoy are also at well less than 100 percent.

All three scholarship tight ends -- Xavier Grimble, Randall Telfer and Jalen Cope-Fitzpatrick -- have been ruled out, while USC is down to three available scholarship running backs.

It will take a monumental amount of creativity and effort from USC to field a competitive offense the rest of the season.
